102 Basic Chemistry & Toxicology

This course provides foundational knowledge in chemistry and toxicology, equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of the composition and behavior of matter, chemical interactions, and the principles of toxicology. Students will explore the properties of elements, compounds, acids, and bases, as well as the significance of oxidizers and organic peroxides in chemical reactions. Additionally, the course will introduce key toxicology concepts, including potential hazards, exposure routes, dose rates, and hazard concentrations. By the end of this course, students will be able to identify and assess chemical risks and their impact on human health and the environment.
